The Loan Counter is located on the 2nd floor of the building. In order to use the loan service it is necessary to present the Andalusian Public Library Network card.
The maximum number of books to be lent to each reader is eight volumes for a period of 15 days, renewable for another 10, provided that they have not been requested by another reader.
In the case of audio-visual materials, the maximum is four, for a period of 7 days, which are not renewable.
Renewals and reservations
Both renewals and reservations can be made in person at the library and in the catalogue itself using the My Library section. You can also renew by calling 951 920 529
Authorizations
Users, who cannot travel to the library, may authorize others to use the loan service with their user card by submitting an authorization form.
Loanable documents:
- Books after 1958 (as a general rule all those printed after that fate are loanable, subject to the exceptions provided for in this paragraph).
- Journals from the open access collection.
- Films and documentaries (DVD format).
- Sound material (CD-DA format).
- Electronic resources (generally CD-ROM format).
- Electronic books.
- Tablets.
Works excluded from the loan:
- Fund from the Legal Deposit published in Malaga and its province.
- Press and periodicals in general.
- Very frequent reference or consultation works: dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and similar.
- Old collection: books prior to 1958.
- Other documents, which due to their peculiar characteristics and state of conservation make it advisable to consult them exclusively in the library's facilities.
- Books before 1958 and those after that date that require special conservation.
- Reference works (dictionaries, encyclopaedias, etc.).
- Works subject to legal deposit and therefore published in Malaga and its province.
- Graphic material (maps, posters, postcards, prints, etc.).
Our library provides its users with an e-reader loan service, offering them another way of reading and accessing information.
Any user of legal age can access the loan of e-book readers with a user card from the Andalusian Public Library Network. To apply for the device, you must fill in the application form and present it together with your library card and ID at the lending desk. The loan period is 30 days.
